Helen Chalmers

Helen Chalmers is a trained jewellery designer who specialises in glass. Based in Scotland she studied at Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee and now transforms Italian and German glass into earrings and pendants from her Queensferry workshop using the technique of lampworking. She adores working with colour and adding a wee slick of coloured enamel and precious metals to finish some of her pieces. Helen is keen to make her work affordable and accessible so anyone can own a bit of art jewellery if they fancy it! Her studs are the most popular item by far, they are made by melting glass directly onto the hypoallergenic surgical steel posts meaning they are permanently fused together with no need for glue.
